How does postpartum wellness coaching differ from therapy with a mental health professional?
If you have been diagnosed with a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder (pmad), it is important to know that the standard treatment is counseling with a mental health professional alone or combined with medication. Pmads do not resolve without treatment. If you are in treatment, our sessions can deepen the work you’re already doing and open other pathways to wellness. Coaching can complement conventional therapy with its collaborative, strengths-based, skill-building and goal-oriented approach.
